Maintains order
The Sergeant-at-Arms maintains order at Executive Council meetings, membership meetings, and association events.
Keeps the floor working
At the state conference the floor opens for nominations, resolutions, and By-Laws amendments. Business that runs in a fixed order requires someone responsible for keeping it there.
Voting member of the Executive Council
The Council is the governing body of the association between conferences. Every voting officer answers to the membership at the state conference.
Elected in odd years
The President, Treasurer, and Sergeant-at-Arms stand for election in odd years. The office was last filled in 2025 and is next up in 2027.

Every officer on the Executive Council is elected by the membership at the state conference. Officers serve two-year terms and are installed ninety days after the conference that elects them.
