Where the work gets done

EANGKY meets three times a year at the state, area, and national level. Those meetings are where resolutions are written, officers are elected, and the enlisted force of the Kentucky National Guard gets a vote on the policy that affects it.

Members are welcome at all three. You do not need an invitation and you do not need a title.

Annual Conferences

Three conferences, one chain

A resolution starts at the state conference, moves through Area II, and is decided at the national conference. Each step is open to any member in good standing.

Step One · State
EANGKY State Conference

The 56th Annual Conference. Date and location to be determined.

The membership votes on resolutions, elects officers to two-year terms, and hears the annual reports of every standing committee. Resolutions adopted here go forward for national consideration. Written resolutions are due to the Committee on Resolutions no later than thirty days before the conference convenes.

Step Two · Area II
Area II Mid-Winter Conference

Date and location to be determined.

Kentucky sits in EANGUS Area II. The mid-winter conference is where the state associations in the area compare notes, coordinate legislative messaging, and prepare for the national conference. It is the smallest of the three and the easiest place for a first-time attendee to get a feel for how the association works.

Step Three · National
EANGUS Annual Conference

56th National Conference. 1–5 August 2027, Palm Springs, California.

The national conference decides which resolutions become EANGUS legislative priorities for the coming year. Kentucky seats delegates in proportion to paid membership, so every membership renewal adds weight to the state’s vote. The Executive Council selects delegates and alternates no later than 1 June.
